Alcavis’ primary goal is to introduce products, services and procedures that make the life of the patient and medical staff safer and easier. Our priority one is controlling infection with the use of chlorine-based solutions while focusing on what is required to meet the demands of our customers. The role of the research and development team is pivotal. We strive to know our customers’ needs and develop answers by creating innovative products and services, solving issues and facilitating outcomes that raise the standard if patient care. In 2006 Alcavis has introduced several new products to the market: The ASSIST header cleaner, a device to aid in dialyzer blood clot and debris removal during the reprocessing procedure The ARM II, our second generation, fully automated dialyzer reprocessing machine capable of disinfecting 10 filters per hour The Alcavis Bleach-Wipe, a presaturated bleach towelette for environmental surface disinfection-now manufactured on site Gary Mishkin, along with his colleagues, are actively working on new projects to better disinfect hemodialysis machines, control infections in CVC patients, and decrease the transmission of microorganisms on hands and surfaces. We are fully committed to improving infection control in the dialysis communities as well as in other applicable healthcare, dental, veterinary, lab, school and daycare settings.
