President and Founder: Ludovico (Vico) Giavotto has been an integral part of the company since 1979 in Italy and later in the USA. His past positions include COO and CEO of Amuchina S.p.A. in Europe. Mr. Giavotto currently holds the title of President of Alcavis International, Inc., since its incorporation in 1994.
Chief Operations Officer: Gary J. Mishkin, MS joined Alcavis in 2001 to lead the research and development division and became the COO in January 2008. Mr. Mishkin is a medical engineer by training and has extensive clinical research experience in dialysis care. Prior to 2001, Mr. Mishkin worked in academia and had performed and published numerous clinical and in-vitro trials to evaluate the safety and efficacy of renal replacement therapies and products. Chief Financial Officer: Greg Hall, BS. Prior to his association with Alcavis HDC LLC, Mr. Hall was Vice President of HDC Medical Inc. In addition to his financial duties, Greg managed the daily operations and developed company policy and procedure. Greg was responsible for coordination of export sales as well as analysis and review of external company projects and investments. Vice President, Research and Development: Guillermo J. Cohen, MS, co-founder of HDC Maquinolas, LLC, has designed the MAKY 21.1 dialyzer reprocessing system in 2000. Before joining AlcavisHDC in 2008, Guillermo was Vice President of Research and Development with HDC Medical, were he developed the Reuse Division Technical Department, with products ranging from design and development to training programs and software products. U.S. Sales and Marketing: Richard Moncure leads the national sales and marketing division. Mr. Moncure maintains all operations connected with sales, marketing, advertising, promotions and conference exhibits. He joined Alcavis in 2001, bringing with him 19 years of medical sales experience. Director of New Business Development: Steven Adler brings 28 years of dialysis experience to Alcavis International. Steve's responsibility now includes seeking out new opportunities and markets that mesh with the company's vision. His previous position was with Nephros Inc., a leader in On-Line HDF therapies as their Global Marketing Manager. Previous positions have also included Northeast Sales Manager for Nextron Inc.(Asahi Dialyzers), Product Manager for Gambro, Regional Sales Manager for Hospal Medical Corp. (Now Gambro). Steve has also spent time on the provider side of the industry. In the 90's he ran a large hospital based program in New Jersey. International Sales and Marketing: Fernando Ortlieb, MD manages current territories in Mexico and Latin America. He serves as a product specialist and medical liaison in this geography. Dr. Ortlieb has been with Alcavis since its inception in 1994. Dialysis Reprocessing Sales and Marketing Manager: Bob Waters joined Alcavis HDC in 2010. He has over 38 years of vast nephrology experience, inclusive of technical, sales, education, regulatory, marketing and new business development. Bob brings to Alcavis HDC a sterling reputation in the renal community and a passion to provide the best products and service to the dialysis market. Quality System and Regulatory Affairs: Hippolitus Odukwu joined Alcavis International as Head of Quality and Regulatory Affairs in January 2007. In this role, he is responsible for defining and orchestrating the company’s quality and regulatory strategy. Mr. Odukwu possesses extensive background in quality system and regulatory affairs, having held positions of increasing responsibilities in both Pharmaceutical and Medical Device companies. Sapana Amin recently joined Alcavis HDC as Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs Associate in August 2010. Previously, Ms. Amin has held positions for reputable government contracting companies that provide regulatory support to the National Institutes of Health. She is primarily responsible for contributing to the Regulatory and Quality group in developing, maintaining, understanding, and implementing regulatory requirements. Ms. Amin is currently pursuing her Master in Science degree in Regulatory Affairs for Biologics, Pharmaceuticals, and Medical Devices. Clinical Specialist: Shelly Padovan, RN has worked for Alcavis since 2005. Her background consists of 22 years in the Nephrology arena. She functions as the nursing resource for the company and performs in-servicing and educational programs to dialysis staff. Shelly also serves as a liaison to the Sales and Marketing division. Accounts Payable/Receivable: Luciene Machado joined Alcavis in July 2007 as our Accounting Representative. She performs accounting functions and prepares required management reports. Luciene is formally trained in Business Administration, holds a certificate in Accounting and is a certified Bookkeeper. Logistics: Andy Maiss started with Alcavis in 1999. He manages and oversees all warehouse operations including inventory and domestic and international shipping of product. Admin. Assistant and Customer Relations: Julie Procter: Julie has been with the company since 2000. She is often the first point of contact for customers and assists with daily office operations.In addition, she facilitates the customer communication tracking and documentation process. Admin Assistant: Before joining Alcavis HDC in 2011, Kathiana directed the medical records department for a busy orthopedic practice at an area hospital. Kat has strong computer skills and excellent customer service background, as well as past experience in banking/finance. She will be responsible as Alcavis HDC Reprocessing division’s first point of customer contact to coordinate product sales and technical support directives. Kat will also coordinate customer interaction and scheduling with MAKY service engineers. Accounting Administrative Assistant: Janiece E. Herrara joined Alcavis HDC in January 2008. Her responsibilities include bookkeeping for the Maryland office and fielding a variety of customer requests via phone. She is an aid to Luciene Machado and manages various accounting tasks. Her strengths include computer skills, and data entry, along with past experience in customer service for a large non-profit company. |
